Data Center Locations
Data Center Locations
Our global network of data centers delivers reliable cloud services with minimal latency and high availability. This network helps ensure top performance for businesses of all sizes and supports various compliance and data regulations.
This overview is meant for information purposes only. It displays data centers that currently operate SAP cloud services. Please note that the cloud solutions portfolio from SAP will undergo incremental integration into the data center map. SAP cloud services may as well be enabled for deployment on other than the displayed data centers. For some SAP cloud services, a customer can select the data center during the implementation of the service. SAP deploys secondary data centers (not listed here) in the region of the primary data center for backup and disaster recovery purposes. SAP may change this overview at its discretion. Resource Center
Services
SAP data centers provide a comprehensive range of capabilities to support a wide range of business applications and workloads, including:
Cloud hosting and management
SAP data centers host cloud solutions like SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform, and provide robust infrastructure management services to help ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Data residency and compliance
Globally dispersed data centers allow businesses to store and process data within specific geographic locations, meeting local regulatory requirements.
Scalability and flexibility
Whether you require extra storage, more computing power, or tailored configurations, you can adapt your data center resources to meet increasing demands.
Disaster recovery and backup services
Advanced disaster recovery solutions help ensure data protection and recoverability in the event of an unforeseen incident.
Security and compliance
Security is at the core of our data center operations, and we adhere to the highest industry standards to protect data from unauthorized access, breaches, and other security threats. Security measures include:
24/7 monitoring and threat detection
Data centers are continuously monitored by security operations teams, utilizing cutting-edge tools to detect and respond to potential threats in real time.
Compliance with global standards
Data centers comply with international standards and certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR, to help ensure that data is handled with the utmost care and in accordance with legal requirements.
Encryption and data protection
Robust encryption protocols are implemented for data at rest and in transit, safeguarding information from unauthorized access.
Access controls and audits
Access controls help ensure that only authorized personnel have access to critical systems and data. Additionally, regular audits are conducted for compliance with security policies and procedures.
Discovery recovery
Disaster recovery strategies are designed to minimize downtime and data loss, helping to ensure business continuity in the face of catastrophic events. SAP’s approach to disaster recovery includes:
Redundant systems and backup
Data centers are equipped with redundant systems, such as power supplies, networking, and storage, to prevent single points of failure. Additional regular backups are conducted so data can be restored quickly.
Geographically distributed data centers
Data is replicated and distributed across multiple locations. So, in the event of a disaster at one site, data and services can be restored from another.
Automated failover
Disaster recovery solutions include automated failover mechanisms, allowing for rapid recovery of services with minimal manual intervention.
Comprehensive testing
Disaster recovery plans are regularly tested through simulated scenarios to help ensure readiness and effectiveness, providing peace of mind that data is protected and recoverable.
Sustainability
We operate our data centers to reduce environmental impact through:
Energy-efficient infrastructure
Data centers are designed with energy-efficient technologies, including advanced cooling systems and power management solutions, to lower energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions.
Renewable electricity usage
Wherever feasible, renewable energy sources are used to power data centers, contributing to the overall reduction of carbon footprints.
Sustainable practices
Sustainable practices are followed in data center operations, such as recycling electronic waste, minimizing water usage, and reducing reliance on non-renewable resources.
Environmental certifications
We adhere to environmental standards, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, to show a strong commitment to operating environmentally responsible data centers.
