How companies use generative AI as a value driver
Fall Edition 2024
Editorial
Dear shareholders,
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a key technology that is revolutionizing our everyday lives. In particular, generative AI is becoming a critical asset for companies seeking to thrive in today’s fast-paced, complex environment, offering vast opportunities. In addition to automation and cost savings, it helps companies to enhance decision-making, foster creativity, drive efficiency and find new sources of revenue.
High-quality, up-to-date data is always a prerequisite for the use of generative AI. Such data provides a comprehensive picture of the respective situation and forms the basis for a well-founded analysis and actionable insights.
The expected potential and economic impact of generative AI is enormous, and this is exactly where SAP comes into play. Artificial intelligence is one of SAP's top priorities. We are using the latest AI technologies and are partnering with pioneers such as Google Cloud, Meta, Microsoft, Mistral AI and NVIDIA, who are setting new standards in the AI space. SAP is embedding generative AI into its entire business portfolio, enabling companies around the world to integrate AI solutions into their business processes, making their business model future-proof and sustainable.
In this fall edition, we show how generative AI can be used in a business context, from optimizing supply chains and simulating scenarios using digital twins to production support.
Farewell
As responsible content owner of SAP Investor magazine, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all our readers and subscribers. Your continued support over the past years has driven the quality, user experience, and development of this magazine. Nevertheless, when we started exploring options for presenting our content to a wider investor community, we discovered a true gem in the SAP universe - the SAP Insights channel. This platform delivers valuable content, which is beneficial for our shareholders as well. It offers new research articles on a bi-weekly basis, not only on SAP-specific topics but from a much broader perspective.
After thorough discussions with the editorial teams, we have decided to recommend the SAP Insights channel to the readers of the SAP Investor magazine and stop producing our own content.
Having said that, we announce that this fall edition is the the last stop on the journey of the SAP Investor magazine. The creators and editors of the magazine will dedicate their resources on optimizing our digital outlets, our social media channel on LinkedIn, as well as on new formats of audio-visual content here on the IR website.
Speaking for the team, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every reader for the lasting interest. Please don't hesitate to reach out to SAP Investor Relations via the different channels if you have questions and stay informed via the regular updates here on the IR website.
Sincerely,
Johannes Buerkle
