Frequently Asked Questions

The SAP cloud contract consists of 4 building blocks: the order form, cloud service description, data processing agreement, and general terms and conditions. The order form, data processing agreement, and general terms and conditions are basically the same for any cloud service on SAP’s price list while the cloud service description is a product-specific collection of documents.

If you have an auto-renewal contract, no action is required to continue your subscription seamlessly.

 

If you have an active renewal contract, work with your SAP representative to execute a renewal contract.

 

Before the expiration date, review your contract to understand renewal steps and deadlines. Your SAP representatives are ready to assist you throughout the process.

 

Review your cloud subscriptions in the self-service portal SAP for Me.

Full cloud contract termination requests can be made in the self-service portal SAP for Me.

  • Find the Contract ID associated with the subscription you wish to terminate

  • Click Manage Contract

Guidelines

  • SAP for Me accepts termination requests for cloud contracts that are eligible for digital termination for both Auto and Active renewal contracts.

  • If a cloud contract is not eligible for digital termination, this option will not be available in SAP for Me. Instead, contact your SAP representative.

  • Termination effective date will be the end date of your current contract.

  • Partial terminations are not accepted in SAP for Me; all items within the contract will be terminated.

  • Please ensure data extraction before expiration. 

  • Termination requests made in SAP for Me can also be retracted if a mistake has been made or you no longer wish to terminate. If this option is unavailable in SAP for Me, please contact your SAP representative.

The supplement determines additional product-specific terms, contains additional information on the usage metrics, and describes multiple cloud services in one supplement.

Service Level Agreement (SLA) determines the system availability of the cloud services, defines the service credits in case SAP fails to meet the SLA, and describes the maintenance windows for each Cloud Service. Access the SLA document for more information.

Data Processing Agreement applies to SAP Cloud Services that processes personal data. It ensures that your personal data is adequately protected and defines SAP’s obligation to maintain applicable certifications.

General terms and conditions (GTC) contain the legal terms on your usage rights, determines ownership rights to the customer data, and defines warranties, limitation of liability and confidentiality.
